When you look in the mirror, you should see an accurate reflection of how you feel inside. Over time, however, natural shifts in the brow and forehead can alter that expression. You might notice your brows resting a bit lower, a flattening of their natural curve, or fine lines showing up across your forehead. For some, a heavier brow is simply a genetic trait they have had since youth; for others, it might be related to a medical concern like ptosis.
Whatever your situation, my approach to care completely leaves surgical ego at the door. I believe that meaningful rejuvenation is never about a doctor telling you what to fix. It is entirely about you. My first priority is to give you a safe space where you feel genuinely heard, validated, and understood.
As an Ophthalmologist and triple-fellowship trained Oculoplastic Surgeon, my clinical focus is entirely dedicated to the delicate balance of the upper face. When we sit down together, we will explore your unique facial structure, look at how your brow interacts with your eyelids, and discuss whether a brow lift, a gentle eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), or a combination of both aligns with your personal comfort.
Using high-resolution photography and mirrors, we will look at the possibilities together. We will openly discuss what can honestly and beautifully be achieved, ensuring you feel completely confident before making any choices. We will only move forward when you feel entirely ready and fully supported.
"True care means truly listening to what is bothering you, so that together we can restore the natural harmony of your expressions."
— Dr. Swan Kang
The Direct Brow Lift
If your primary goal is to address heavy or descending brows, we might consider a direct lift. This involves a highly precise, fine incision placed directly along the upper border of your brow hair. It is incredibly effective for versatile reshaping, and I often combine it with an upper eyelid lift to beautifully open up the eye area. We tailor the positioning specifically to your expressions so you never look "surprised." The resulting fine line is designed to fade and soften significantly over the months following your procedure.
The Pretrichial Temporal Lift
If you are experiencing moderate to pronounced laxity near the outer corners of your brows and temples, a pretrichial approach can be an elegant solution. By placing the incision discreetly just behind your hairline, we can gently elevate the underlying tissues with lasting structural support. An added benefit of this approach is that it can subtly adjust a higher forehead or hairline if that is something you would like to improve.
The Internal Brow Lift (Browpexy)
Yes, absolutely. For patients who are mainly concerned about drooping on the outer edges of the eyes but do not have deep forehead sagging, a minimally invasive internal lift is an excellent pathway.
We utilise the very same hidden incision used for an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, meaning it sits entirely within the natural fold of your eyelid. Through this discreet access, I use deep, internal micro-sutures to secure and lift the central and outer brow tissues to the underlying supportive bone structure. Because everything is done internally, there is no external scarring on the face, and the recovery process tends to be very smooth and rapid.
The Non-Surgical (Toxin) Brow Lift
If you are looking for a subtle, conservative change and are not ready for surgery, we can explore using targeted muscle-relaxing micro-injections.
By carefully easing the downward-pulling muscles around the eyebrows, the upward-pulling muscles are allowed to work more effectively. This creates a gentle, subtle lift to your brow arch while simultaneously smoothing out frown lines. It is a long-trusted, safe method for softening dynamic signs of ageing. We apply a comforting numbing cream beforehand to make the process as gentle as possible, and you can jump right back into your normal routine immediately after. These results are temporary, typically lasting between three and six months, making it a wonderful way to try out a refreshed look.
The best way forward is simply to have an open conversation. Every face tells a different story, and the right choice depends on your hairline, your anatomy, and—most importantly—what you want to achieve. My role is to listen to your goals and give you the clear information you need to make the right choice for your lifestyle.
